Welcome to Tamyn’s music school. A place for all the musically hearted people out there.
This school is run by Tamzyn Alexander and she is an experienced opera singer who teaches following:
- Piano
- Singing
- Music theory
Tamzyn has a double degree in Music and Arts from Australian Catholic University, majoring in music performance with a minor in drama.
She has been a part of many opera productions either having chorus or lead roles and has have been teaching piano to students of all ages for seven years.
She loves her job educating people of all ages from children to adults about as many aspects of music as possible, as well as helping them to develop a good work ethic that ensures they can fit in practice and not miss out on other fun activities or take too much time away from homework.
If you yourself have always wanted to learn piano but never got the opportunity my door is always open. Music is not just for children or teenagers, adults are always welcome even if it’s after the little one’s are fed, teeth brushed and in bed.
Piano
Tamzyn teaches piano lessons for all ages, using the Alfred D’Auberg music books for beginners. She make sure that lessons are tailored to suit each student’s personal stages of development and requirements.

Singing
While many of us have developed a taste for singing through singing along to the radio our ear isn’t 100% accurate. Tamzyn offers singing lessons that covers many different skills such as diction, pitch and how read music.

Music theory
The ability to identify and write scales, chords, rhythms, intervals, key/ time signatures or styles of music is essential for any instrument. This can be taught or revised to any student playing an instrument.
